VET (Vocational Education and Training) provides
an opportunity for senior school students to complete a TAFE certificate
course as part of their VCE or VCAL program.
Generally speaking, students commit to TAFE one day per week. VET programs are conducted off-site. This allows student to “learn by doing” which in today's employment climate, provides a valuable asset and skill base. A VET study, if completed successfully, contributes to either a student’s VCE ENTER score or credits towards the completion of their VCAL program. Successful students can consider a range of options post Year 12 including; university, further TAFE study, apprenticeships or employment.
